Dr. Haru Alhassan, graduated with B. Engineering (Electrical) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria in 1989, MSc. Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg Canada, in 2003 and Ph.D in Mobile Wireless Communications Engineering from University of Bradford, United Kingdom. Dr. Haru undertook a successful graduate research project in Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks with Telecommunications Research Laboratory (TRLabs), Winnipeg, Canada, where he identified the ways of improving the upstream throughput of HFC Broadband Access Network through traffic classification and load scheduling algorism. TRLabs is the biggest telecoms research consortium in Western Canada.
Dr. Haru have over twenty three years working experience in Telecoms Industry, and Telecoms Regulatory environment.
Dr. Haru is now the Director, New Media and Information Security with Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
